Register for digital banking

You can register using:

• UK photocard driving licence or provisional driving licence
• Valid passport 
• National ID card
• EEA or Swiss National ID card

Don’t have photo ID that we can accept?

Our Photo ID and selfie tool is a secure way to verify who you are - allowing you to get access to your bank accounts digitally. Any information and photos you share with us through the app are encrypted so stay safe and secure.

If you’re already registered for Online Banking, you can use your existing Online Banking details to set up the app on up to 3 devices.

Forgotten your digital banking sign-in details?

If you don’t have a valid phone number or email address registered, update your contact details.

If you’ve already tried to register using our app, it’s best to try again first.

If you receive a message:

• Something went wrong: it means your attempt to set up the app has been interrupted. You’ll need to try registering again by uploading photos of your ID and selfie.
• Identification failed: you’ll need to try again by re-entering your details and uploading photos of your ID and selfie.

Your fingerprint and face are excellent security devices; no two are exactly the same and you've always got them with you! If your device is enabled for face or fingerprint recognition and is compatible with the M&S Bank app, you can use your face or fingerprint to sign in.
