Your wellbeing

It’s common for money worries to affect your overall wellbeing, with one causing or influencing the other.

Research by the ONS suggests that around three in four adults are feeling worried about the rising cost of living.

Everyone will experience these changes slightly differently but here are some signs that you may need some support:

  • You’re feeling anxious about checking your account balance or reading bank statements
  • You’re worried about being able to pay bills, or avoiding opening important letters
  • Your sleep is disturbed because you’re thinking about your finances
  • You feel low and anxious, or like there’s no way forward due to your financial situation
  • You feel guilty after spending money, or you spend money on things you feel you shouldn’t be
